Our goals:

✓ to carry out scientific research, to inform and educate the public about the environment, especially about lakes and marshes and related processes in the past, today and possible changes in the future; ✓ with the help of fundamental and applied activities, to promote the thoughtful use of natural resources, especially sapropel and peat resources; ✓ promote understanding of the importance of scientific research and the possibilities of its application in the management of swamps and lakes; ✓ based on research results, develop methods and recommendations for lake, swamp and environmental management, promote examples of good practice and sustainable environmental development; ✓ to cooperate with local and international organizations, societies, state institutions, businessmen, and private individuals related to the research and/or management of lakes, swamps and the environment.

We meet at lakes, swamps and forests to decide together what kind of environment we want to live in and how to manage what nature has provided for us!

Description: Latvian Geotechnical Laboratory "Ground expert" was founded in 2014. year. 2015. in May, the laboratory was accredited according to LVS EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2005 in physical and mechanical testing of soil and mineral materials( Registration number of the Latvian National Accreditation Bureau LATAK-T-510), no 2018. the laboratory is accredited for physical and chemical testing of water and soil.

The laboratory has the widest offer of physical and mechanical soil testing in Latvia. LĢL "Ground expert" performs determination of the aggressiveness of soil and groundwater against concrete and steel.

Sample testing is performed by highly professional staff with more than 30 years of experience using modern testing methods and equipment.
